SAG Awards live: Will ‘Anora’ finally become the Oscar frontrunner tonight?

In the closing days of a wild Oscar season, the actors will finally have their say.
Hosted by Kristen Bell, tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards feature the thespians feting their own in a variety of movie and TV categories. And being that the actors are the largest voting body for the Academy Awards, it’s an event that could cement momentum heading into next Sunday’s 97th Oscars ceremony on March 2.
After winning the top directors and producers guild prizes, indie romantic dramedy “Anora” could be an overwhelming favorite to be the next Oscar best picture if it also takes the SAG best ensemble trophy. But a key victory by Golden Globe best drama winner “The Brutalist” or British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) best film choice “Conclave” would make things interesting.
Stay tuned for updates on all the SAG winners beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT.
